15 Oct Visiting Florence on a budget
This was our first visit to Florence and we fell in love, Florence is a beautiful city and well worth a visit if you are in Italy.
Florence had a beautiful smell to it, it smells of delicious Italian food. There are places to eat everywhere and the coffee is beautiful too.
Visiting Florence on a budget can be a little tight however there are ways and you don’t have to slum it. Hotels in Florence start at around £90 for the night up to many hundreds of pounds.
We found a place for around €45 a night.
Yes €45 a night on a campsite, before you scream I’m not staying in a tent, this wasn’t a tent it was what they call a bungalow.
When we stayed there last month these bungalows where pretty much brand new so a delight to stay in. They have a large room with a big double bed separate toilet and a large ish walk in shower.
This is absolute luxury considering the price.
The camping village also as a small supermarket and a very nice restaurant and bar that wont break the bank. Plus they run a bus service into Florence for €3 return.
If you are on a tighter budget but more than straight out camping this is the place to visit.
