Exercise

Forget exercise for losing weight it doesn’t work, it’s been clinically proven.

Hurray I hear you shout you don’t have to exercise.

Well, you do but the good news is you don’t have to go to the gym.

Exercise is important for many reasons but instead of calling it exercise we shall call this activity.. MOVE.  If you don’t do anything by which I mean you get up in a morning, drive to work sit behind a desk all day drive home and watch tv then go to bed you are doing nothing.

You need to be more active, and I know if you are overweight it can be difficult, but we need to start, you need to move, in a perfect world you will walk 5km a day every day and if you can great do it. But for others you need to start simple and please if in doubt see your doctor first. You need to move. Move means low impact, so we walk or cycle or swim or work in the garden but you have to move, for me its walking but if you prefer any of the others do it.

Do it now. Stop reading and walk around the block.

WHEN WALKING DO IT AT A PACE YOU CAN HOLD A CONVERSATION IF YOU ARE OUT OF BREATH SLOW DOWN

Welcome back, hope you enjoyed your little walk.

Now we build on that so for the next 30 days you MOVE slowly building up the distance. Add one minute a day for 30 days by the end of the 30 days you have added an extra 30 minutes to your walk, how brilliant is that. That’s how I did it.

Tip: When going to the supermarket park at the furthest parking spot and walk its simple and may add only another 30 seconds but its 30 seconds you didn’t do before.

“You don’t need a fancy gym, nikes, or new sweatpants to move. You just need yourself and some motivation.”
